Amir Farshid Rahimian
Born on December 17, 1959 in Tehran.
In 1970, at the age of eleven, He entered the Higher Conservatory of Music to study music and started studying from the fifth grade of elementary school and chose the trumpet as his instrument. Two years later, due to his progress in learning trumpet, He started playing in the symphony orchestra of the Higher Conservatory of Music at the invitation of Maestro Ali Rahbari, who was the director of the conservatory at that time. And a year later, he was invited to the professional Zhones orchestra, which was founded by Dr. Saadi Hassani and led by Maestro Ali Rahbari.
In 1976, He travelled to Austria to continue his music studies and took the entrance exam for the Academy of Music and Visual Arts in Vienna and was accepted.
Six months after starting his studies at the Vienna Academy of Music, he participated in composition and conducting classes of Maestro Christian David as a guest student.
Playing in the Johann Strauss-Vienna Orchestra in 1978 for the summer quarter and once in 1987 for six months.
Forming an orchestra with the musicians of the Vienna Academy of Music to perform his own pieces, which they held for two nights in December 1987 at the Mozart Hall in Vienna ... In all the pieces, He used traditional Iranian instruments in combination with orchestral instruments. It was very welcomed by the audience. He was also the conductor.
Making music and songs for an album collection of Iranian children and teenagers born and raised outside of Iran, entitled Zoo Stories, was recorded in Vienna in 1988 with some of his friends and played in Austria, Germany and the United Kingdom. This album was very well received by parents of children and teenagers outside Iran.
Late in the summer of 1980, He returned to Iran to visit his family, but unfortunately the Iran-Iraq war started and he could not return to Austria due to the closure of flights.
In March 1980, He received a call from the radio organization to compose a song on the occasion of Norouz and the war, in which composers were invited to compose a song with the theme of Norouz and war. He started to make an epic march for the symphony orchestra, choir, and solo singer on a poem from Mojtaba Kashani. Dar Sangar Norouz March, among thirty other pieces by different composers, won the first place and has been broadcasted continuously on radio and television since Nowruz in 1981.The solo singer of this piece was maestro Esfandiar Qarebaghi. From that year on, He started making several other epic marches, and was invited as a musician in almost all the marches and songs that were composed and recorded by other composers.
In 1981, He joined the symphony orchestra at the invitation of Maestro Heshmat Sanjari, who was conducting the Tehran Symphony Orchestra at that time And became the Symphony Orchestra of the Radio and Television. He worked closely with this orchestra and with the music unit of the organization in general, both in the field of composing and playing.
Composing children's music and collaborating with the children and adolescents group of the Radio and Television Organization since 1981.
Formation of wind and percussion ensemble orchestra and various performances in Tehran in 1982.
He started composing for Film music in 1985 with a semi-feature film called From Khorramshahr Ta Abadiyat, which won an honorary diploma and the award for the best soundtrack of the 5th Young Film Festival, and since then has composed many film music.
In the late fall of 1986, at the invitation and encouragement of Maestro Christian David, He travelled to Austria again to participate in a one-time composition class.

From the end of 1988 and the beginning of 1989, He’s worked to justify and introduce different genres of music to cultural officials. He prepared a twenty-page letter entitled: Music is not vulgar and with the content of introducing different genres and forms of music. A few months later, he received his first license to make pop music, and a month later, his first license to form an orchestra (semi-pop), So with the help of Mehrdad Kazemi he formed an orchestra consisting of wind instruments (trumpet, trombone, horn, saxophone, flute) and percussion (drums and tomba), along with electric guitar and bass guitar. He also started arranging many songs such as ey sarban Ahestehran for Mehrdad Kazemi and arranged new pieces for this orchestra for stage performances.
Establishment and formation of the Bahman Cultural Center Symphony Orchestra in 1990 with Behrouz Gharibpour, Mehrdad Kazemi and Mr. Karbaschi.
He was a member of the Music Council and an advisor to the Director General of Music of the Radio and Television Organization, during the administration of Mr. Mohammad Mirzamani.
In 2001, together with his older brother, Maestro Homayoun Rahimian, established the Academy of Music and Art and has worked as a manager and lecturer in this institute.
