Biography

Soodabeh Shams was born in 1953 in Tehran. At the age of 9, she entered the Higher Conservatory of Music with the encouragement of his father (who was himself a violinist and a student of the conservatory) and studied the violin with maestros such as George Martirousian, Ebrahim Rouhifar, Haraj Manoukian and Heshmat Sanjari. She learned to play the piano, which was in fact one of the main courses in the conservatory, under the supervision of Maestro Sedghi. At the age of 16 She studied singing with Maestro Fakhere Saba and in the year of 1971 for one year studied Opera with Maestro Evlin Baghcheban in Tehran Opera with the choir and was under the supervision of Afsaneh Khodabandehloo and Mr. Schneider in the conservatory choir.
At the same time, she worked in radio orchestras, Tehran Symphony Orchestra, Conservatory Orchestra and Zones Music Orchestra led by Ali Rahbari . After graduating, she continued her higher education and professional singing with Ms. Fakhere Saba. For her good voice, she was given a singing scholarship in Austria, but she did not accept and stayed in Iran. In 1976, at the suggestion of Ms. Afsaneh Khoda Bandehloo, she joined the choir of radio and television. She participated in several concerts led by Ms. Golnoosh Khaleghi and also performed several solos. She got married in 1978, when she finished his bachelor's degree. After the revolution, she continued to work in the radio and television group.
Collaboration with music from movies and TV series, theater music and songs for children and teenagers, back vocal with pop and traditional singers.
The cassette of songs of life was released with the accompaniment of other singers with the poem and song of Masoud Mahmoudi and arranged by Mehrdad Jahanfar.
Collaboration with Vahdat Hall Symphony Choir, National Orchestra, pop and famous singers.
In 2001, she started teaching.
In 2013, she received a memorial plaque and statue from the House of Music for Veteran Women.
